About this pattern
This personalized Baby's First Christmas cross stitch pattern is the ornament I wish I'd made for both of mine: a sleepy little teddy in a Santa hat, the baby's name right across the middle and the year tucked between two hearts. You stitch the name yourself, and I've made that the easy part.
What's inside
- The full ornament chart with the sample name ROWAN, in color, black and white, large print and a Pattern Keeper file
- Three alphabets with numbers: Hearth Bold for names up to 8 letters, Hearth Narrow (same height) for long names up to 11, and Tiny Caps
- A name-spacing worksheet with a worked example, simple centering steps and a blank ornament to plan on
- Two colorways: Blush & Sage, and Classic Red & Green
- A bonus mini stocking ornament with the baby's initial
- Felt-back ornament circle templates, a real-size page, a stitch-time estimate and a progress tracker
Size: 57 x 57 stitches, about 4.1 in on 14 count, 3.6 in on 16 count or 3.2 in on 18 count. Full stitches only, 12 colors.
Finish it as a round felt-backed ornament, display it in a 5 inch hoop (or a 4 inch hoop on 18 count), or frame it for the nursery. It makes a sweet gift for new parents, a keepsake for grandparents to stitch for the first grandbaby, or a baby shower present that comes out every December.
I suggest Antique White Aida so the white hat trim shows up nicely.
