About this pattern
Black cats deserve more love, so I gave this one her own crescent moon. She sits on the inner curve with her tail curling over the edge, outlined in soft lavender so she glows against a navy night sky, with pastel stars all around.
It's 60 x 60 stitches in just 6 DMC colors, about 4.3 inches square on 14 count. Stitching on dark fabric is easier than people think when the colors are this light, and there is no background to fill because the navy Aida is the sky. Black Aida works too if you prefer.
The whiskers and the front legs are a few lines of backstitch in the same lavender. Everything else is full cross stitch.
