About this pattern
This little ginger tabby has climbed into a sage-green mug and is peeking over the rim with his paws hooked on the edge. There's a pink heart on the mug and two more floating by, because he's clearly very pleased with himself.
The pattern is 44 x 50 stitches in 8 DMC colors, about 3.1 x 3.6 inches on 14 count. That's small enough to finish over a couple of evenings, and it fits a 4 or 5 inch hoop nicely. The whiskers are four short backstitch lines; everything else is full crosses.
I'd stitch it on white Aida. It's a sweet gift for a coffee or tea lover, a cat-sitter thank-you, or a first project for a beginner who wants something cute without too many colors.
