About this pattern
This cozy bakery cross stitch pattern is Honey Loaf Bakery, a blush-pink little shop with a red and white striped awning and "Bakery" hand-lettered across the sign. A two-tier cake sits on its stand in the window next to cherry cupcakes, with crusty loaves and a basket of baguettes on the shelf below, under a string of bunting.
It's one of five matching shopfronts: Honey Loaf Bakery, Fern & Folio Books, Posy Lane Florist, The Steeping Pot Tea Shop and Two Saucers Café. They share one palette, the same width and the same pavement line, so they hang side by side like a little high street.
What's inside
- Color, black & white and large print charts, plus a Pattern Keeper compatible PDF and an OXS file
- Floss key with DMC numbers and skein amounts (14 colors)
- A real-size preview page, a stitch-time estimate and a progress tracker
Size: 60 x 80 stitches, about 4.3 x 5.7 in on 14 count, so it fits a 5 x 7 inch frame. On 16 count it's 3.8 x 5 in, and on 18 count 3.3 x 4.4 in.
It's about 20 hours of stitching at about 200 stitches an hour (your pace may vary). Full stitches only: no fractional stitches and no backstitch, and the lettering is charted stitch by stitch. It's an intermediate stitch, with lots of small details in the window.
It's a sweet piece for the kitchen wall, and a lovely gift for a home baker, a friend who just opened a bakery, or anyone who stops for a pastry on the way home. I suggest Antique White Aida, as in the preview.
Plus our free beginner cheat sheet and bonus minis with every order.
