About this pattern
Small, quick and so satisfying! These three mini rounds are my favorite way to add a handmade touch to Hanukkah gifts.
You get a blue dreidel with the Hebrew letter hei, a Star of David with soft blue points and a gold center, and a single glowing candle surrounded by tiny gold stars. Each one sits inside a blue ring with little gold accents, and each is 30 x 30 stitches, about 2.1 inches across on 14 count Aida. All three are laid out side by side on one chart (100 x 34 stitches) in 6 DMC colors.
They fit perfectly in 3 inch mini hoops. You can also stitch them on plastic canvas or felt-backed Aida to make gift tags, or turn them into little hanging decorations for a window or a doorway.
Each mini is an evening or two of stitching, which makes them great for beginners and for anyone who wants a quick win. Stitch them on white Aida, or try pale blue for a softer look.
Hanukkah runs from the evening of December 4, 2026 through December 12, so you can stitch a few for the eight nights of gifts or for teachers, friends and family.
