About this pattern
I think of these two as my husband and me on the sofa after the kids are finally asleep. Two round little birds, one soft blue and one pink, sit together on a leafy branch with three hearts floating above them.
There are seven colors on white Aida, and the design is 50 x 40 stitches, about 3.6 x 2.9 inches on 14-count. The birds have simple shapes with just a little shading, so it's a happy, beginner-friendly stitch.
It's lovely for Valentine's Day, an anniversary, a wedding card or a new couple's first home. Change the bird colors to match their favorite shades if you like.
Tip: stitch the branch first so the birds have somewhere to sit, then add the hearts last.
