About this pattern
I designed this as the alphabet sampler I wish I'd stitched as a girl. The capitals are elegant thick-and-thin serif letters, and they're followed by a complete lowercase alphabet, the numbers 1 to 0, and a little row of tulips and hearts. A soft blue Greek key border frames it all.
There are four colors (navy, soft blue, antique red and sage) on antique white Aida. It's lovely for practicing tidy stitches, and the letters are a reference you'll come back to for other projects.
The design is 122 x 140 stitches, about 8.7 x 10 inches on 14-count. It looks especially good in a simple oak frame.
It makes a beautiful gift for a teacher, a new reader's bedroom or a book lover's study. And because every letter is here, it doubles as an alphabet chart for personalizing other patterns.
