About this pattern

An adventurous little nursery piece. A striped hot-air balloon in soft pink, butter yellow and blue drifts past fluffy clouds and a tiny bluebird, with 'dream big, little one' underneath.

There are eight soft colors on white Aida. The design is 60 x 80 stitches, about 4.3 x 5.7 inches on 14-count, a lovely size for a small frame on the nursery shelf.

The PDF includes alphabet and numbers charts. Swap 'little one' for the baby's name, or add their birth date below the balloon.

It's a gentle beginner stitch, a sweet gift for a travel-loving family, and a lovely start to a baby's first bookshelf.

Tip: work the balloon stripes one color at a time, top to bottom. The basket and clouds go quickly.

Is this a physical kit?

No. This is a digital PDF download. No fabric, thread or hoop is included and nothing is shipped. The floss key lists every DMC color you need.

How do I print it?

Print at 100% scale (or "actual size") on US Letter or A4 paper. The black & white chart saves ink and is easy to read. You can also stitch straight from a tablet.

Does it work with Pattern Keeper?

Yes. A Pattern Keeper friendly PDF is included, so you can import it and mark stitches off as you go. Backstitch (if any) is listed separately, because Pattern Keeper only tracks full crosses.

What is the free bonus pack?
