About this pattern

A rainbow after the storm. This gentle birth announcement has a soft pastel rainbow between two little clouds, with 'our little rainbow' and your baby's name below in elegant capitals, and the birth date and weight underneath.

The sample shows 'Rowan'. The PDF includes the full alphabet and numbers charts for the name and details, with tips for centering each line, so you can make it truly theirs.

There are eight soft colors on white Aida, and the design is 90 x 90 stitches, about 6.4 inches square on 14-count. The rainbow is made of simple bands, so it's a peaceful, beginner-friendly stitch.

Is this a physical kit?

No. This is a digital PDF download. No fabric, thread or hoop is included and nothing is shipped. The floss key lists every DMC color you need.

How do I print it?

Print at 100% scale (or "actual size") on US Letter or A4 paper. The black & white chart saves ink and is easy to read. You can also stitch straight from a tablet.

Does it work with Pattern Keeper?

Yes. A Pattern Keeper friendly PDF is included, so you can import it and mark stitches off as you go. Backstitch (if any) is listed separately, because Pattern Keeper only tracks full crosses.

What is the free bonus pack?
