About this pattern

A calm, sleepy piece for the nursery wall. A crescent moon with a closed eye and rosy cheek naps among soft blue clouds, with a gold star hanging nearby, and 'hello, little one' underneath.

It uses six gentle colors on white Aida and is 70 x 70 stitches, about 5 inches square on 14-count. That's a perfect fit for a 6-inch hoop above the crib.

The PDF includes alphabet and numbers charts in both lettering styles. Swap 'little one' for the baby's name, or add a birth date underneath.

It's a quick, beginner-friendly stitch, a lovely baby shower gift and a sweet way to welcome a new grandchild.

Tip: stitch the moon and star first, then the clouds. Keep the lettering for last.

Is this a physical kit?

No. This is a digital PDF download. No fabric, thread or hoop is included and nothing is shipped. The floss key lists every DMC color you need.

How do I print it?

Print at 100% scale (or "actual size") on US Letter or A4 paper. The black & white chart saves ink and is easy to read. You can also stitch straight from a tablet.

Does it work with Pattern Keeper?

Yes. A Pattern Keeper friendly PDF is included, so you can import it and mark stitches off as you go. Backstitch (if any) is listed separately, because Pattern Keeper only tracks full crosses.
