About this pattern
Lily of the valley is such a classic, gentle flower: little white bells hanging from an arching stem, wrapped in broad green leaves. My May posy has two sprays of bells tied with a soft pink bow above the word May.
It's the calmest design in the series, with just 7 DMC colors. The bells are tiny repeated shapes, which makes them very relaxing to stitch, and the leaves are big, simple areas of green.
It's a sweet keepsake for a May birthday, a new baby, or a wedding, since lily of the valley is a favorite bridal flower.
Every design in my Birth Flowers series shares the same layout: a small tied posy with a ribbon bow and the month name underneath, about 3.6 x 5.7 inches on 14 count Aida (50 x 80 stitches). They frame beautifully in a 5 x 7 inch frame, and you can leave the month name off if you'd like just the flowers. I'd stitch it on antique white Aida.
You'll get a color chart, a black and white chart, a large-print chart and a Pattern Keeper compatible PDF, plus a DMC floss key and a how-to-start page.
