About this pattern

A red and white striped stocking with a holly cuff, a green heel and toe, and a candy cane poking out of the top. It's pure Christmas morning in one little ornament.

The stocking is 30 x 42 stitches (about 2.1 x 3 inches on 14 count Aida) in 6 colors. The stripes are straight rows of color, so it's very relaxing to stitch and a great choice for your very first Christmas project, or for stitching with older kids.

Finish it as a felt-backed shaped ornament, or pop it in a 3 to 4 inch round hoop or ornament frame with a loop of ribbon. You could even add an initial to the cuff and make one for each person in the family.

You get a full color chart, a black and white symbol chart, a large print chart, a Pattern Keeper compatible PDF and a floss key with DMC numbers. It's a digital PDF pattern, so no fabric or thread is included.

Right after checkout you land on your order page with download links for every file, plus a "download all" zip. Links work for 7 days, and you can reopen your order page anytime to get fresh links.

Is this a physical kit?

No. This is a digital PDF download. No fabric, thread or hoop is included and nothing is shipped. The floss key lists every DMC color you need.

How do I print it?

Print at 100% scale (or "actual size") on US Letter or A4 paper. The black & white chart saves ink and is easy to read. You can also stitch straight from a tablet.

Does it work with Pattern Keeper?

Yes. A Pattern Keeper friendly PDF is included, so you can import it and mark stitches off as you go. Backstitch (if any) is listed separately, because Pattern Keeper only tracks full crosses.

What is the free bonus pack?

Every order comes with a little thank-you: my one-page beginner cheat sheet and 3 bonus mini patterns (a star ornament, a tiny tree and a little mushroom). They appear on your order page next to your patterns.
