About this pattern
Hugs and kisses, stitched. The big chunky X's and O's alternate red and pink with a soft blush shadow, and there's a band of tiny hearts above and below.
It's 50 x 30 stitches, about 3.6 x 2.1 inches on 14-count, and uses just three colors. It's the perfect last-minute valentine, and a great first project if you're teaching a child or a friend to cross stitch.
Pop it into a card window, a mini hoop or a small frame on the desk of someone you love.
Tip: stitch the hearts first. They're a nice way to warm up and find the center before you start the big letters. I like to back mini pieces with felt and a dab of glue for a quick finish that looks lovely in a gift bag.
