About this pattern
This 2027 stitch along cross stitch pattern grows one section a month: start in January with the cottage walls and the first snowdrops, and by December you have a whole cottage garden, from crocuses, tulips and climbing roses to sunflowers, an apple tree, pumpkins, a robin and a wreath on the door.
The full chart is yours from day one, with no waiting for monthly emails. Follow the plan, race ahead or take it slow.
What's inside
- The full chart (160 x 200 stitches, 20 colors) in color, black and white, large print and a Pattern Keeper compatible PDF, plus an OXS file
- Twelve monthly part charts in color and black and white: each month's new stitches with symbols, and earlier months shown faded so you can find your place
- A "where it goes" picture for every month and a 12-month plan with stitch counts
- A year tracker page and a progress tracker to color in
- Twelve bonus monthly minis, from snowdrops to a winter wreath, in the same threads
- Floss key with DMC numbers and skeins, and a real-size preview
Time: the whole garden is about 85 hours, so about 7 hours a month on average. Months range from 367 to 2,743 stitches (about 2 to 14 hours). November and December are small, so the holidays stay relaxed. Estimated at about 200 stitches an hour; your pace may vary.
Size: about 11.4 x 14.3 inches on 14 count Aida, 10 x 12.5 inches on 16 count, or 8.9 x 11.1 inches on 18 count.
It makes a lovely New Year project to share with a friend. Full stitches only, intermediate. I suggest Antique White Aida, as in the preview.
Plus our free beginner cheat sheet and bonus minis with every order.
