About this pattern
This personalized baby name cross stitch pattern is a soft floral wreath for the nursery wall: roses, little blossoms and leaves tied with a bow at the bottom, with your baby's name in a gentle script and the birth date underneath.
What's inside
- Color, black & white and large print charts, plus a Pattern Keeper compatible PDF and an OXS file
- The whole chart on one page too, handy on a tablet
- Every letter and number charted: a script alphabet for the name (capitals and lowercase), a narrower print alphabet for longer names, and capitals and numbers for the date
- A name-centering worksheet for each alphabet, with a worked example ("Olivia" and "May 12, 2027"), so your name sits right in the middle
- Three colorways: Blush, Sage on oatmeal Aida, and Dusty Blue
- Floss key with DMC numbers and skein amounts, a real-size preview page, a stitch-time estimate and a progress tracker
Size: 66 x 92 stitches, about 4.7 x 6.6 in on 14 count, so it fits a 5 x 7 inch frame. On 16 count it's 4.1 x 5.8 in, and on 18 count 3.7 x 5.1 in.
Names up to about 8 letters fit in the script, like Olivia, Amelia or Theodore. For longer names, like Charlotte or Alexander, use the print alphabet. Long months fit best shortened (SEPT. 30, 2027) or as numbers. Plan both lines on the worksheet first.
It's about 7 hours of stitching at about 200 stitches an hour (your pace may vary), in full stitches only. It makes a sweet baby shower or new baby gift, and a keepsake for your own little one. I suggest White Aida, or Oatmeal for the Sage colorway.
