About this spreadsheet
Hi, I'm Sara. I bought the same skein of 310 three times before I made myself this spreadsheet, and now I never stand in the craft shop wondering what I already own.
It lists all 454 DMC stranded cotton colors, each with a real color swatch, number, name and color family. Type how many skeins you own, how many bobbins, and where each color lives (box, drawer, bag). When you need more, choose Yes in Need to buy and that color appears on your automatic shopping list, ready to take to the shop on your phone.
The dashboard shows how many colors you own, what percentage of the full DMC range that is, how many skeins are in your stash and what's on your list, with a breakdown and chart by color family. Colors you own are highlighted, low stock turns honey yellow, and filters let you see one color family at a time.
It works in Excel and Google Sheets (a how-to sheet explains both) and comes in 5 cozy color themes: Sage, Blush, Lavender, Terracotta and Linen.
