About this pattern
Strawberries are one of the oldest motifs in samplers, and I love how cheerful they look in folk-art style. The top face of this biscornu is a strawberry medallion with berries, leaves and a little flower at the center. The bottom face is a berry wreath with tiny hearts inside a dashed border.
Each face is 50 x 50 stitches, about 3.6 inches square on 14-count Aida, in 5 DMC colors. The motifs repeat four times around the center, so after the first quarter you'll know them by heart and the rest flows nicely.
A biscornu is made from two stitched squares joined with a twist into an eight-sided pincushion. My step-by-step finishing guide is included, from back-stitching the edges to sewing on the center button.
It's a sweet gift for a sewing friend, a Mother's Day surprise or a treat for your own sewing basket.
You get both faces as full color charts, black and white symbol charts, a large print version and a Pattern Keeper compatible PDF, plus a floss key with DMC numbers and skein estimates and my illustrated biscornu finishing guide.
