About this pattern

Daffodils always feel like the first real sign of spring to me, so March's posy is pure sunshine: one daffodil facing you, two turned to the side with their trumpets out, a closed bud and long strappy leaves, tied with a golden bow.

It's 8 DMC colors of buttery yellows, warm orange and fresh greens. The trumpets and petals are made from simple shapes with a soft golden outline, so the flowers read clearly even from across the room.

It's a cheerful birthday gift for anyone born in March, and lovely for Mother's Day or Easter too.

Every design in my Birth Flowers series shares the same layout: a small tied posy with a ribbon bow and the month name underneath, about 3.6 x 5.7 inches on 14 count Aida (50 x 80 stitches). They frame beautifully in a 5 x 7 inch frame, and you can leave the month name off if you'd like just the flowers. I'd stitch it on antique white Aida.

You'll get a color chart, a black and white chart, a large-print chart and a Pattern Keeper compatible PDF, plus a DMC floss key and a how-to-start page.

Questions

How do I get my pattern?

Right after checkout you land on your order page with download links for every file, plus a "download all" zip. Links work for 7 days, and you can reopen your order page anytime to get fresh links.

Is this a physical kit?

No. This is a digital PDF download. No fabric, thread or hoop is included and nothing is shipped. The floss key lists every DMC color you need.

How do I print it?

Print at 100% scale (or "actual size") on US Letter or A4 paper. The black & white chart saves ink and is easy to read. You can also stitch straight from a tablet.

Does it work with Pattern Keeper?

Yes. A Pattern Keeper friendly PDF is included, so you can import it and mark stitches off as you go. Backstitch (if any) is listed separately, because Pattern Keeper only tracks full crosses.

What is the free bonus pack?

Every order comes with a little thank-you: my one-page beginner cheat sheet and 3 bonus mini patterns (a star ornament, a tiny tree and a little mushroom). They appear on your order page next to your patterns.

Is there a discount if I buy several patterns?

Yes. Buy any 3 or more individual patterns or sets and each one is 25% off, applied automatically in your cart. Bundles already have their own price. During a shop-wide sale you always get the single best discount (they don't stack).

What if something is wrong with my file?

If a file has a problem, we'll fix it or refund you. Just send Sara a message. See the refund policy for details.
