About this pattern

This is my love letter to old band samplers, dressed for Christmas. Under 'Merry & Bright' you'll find a row of tulips and gold stars, a Quaker star medallion with bluebirds and little trees, a village of four houses, a band of hearts and stars, and a year line at the bottom. It's all framed by a linked-diamond border.

There are just four heirloom colors (garnet, pine green, old gold and slate blue) on oatmeal linen or Aida. Each band is its own small project, which keeps a big piece feeling manageable.

The finished design is 104 x 140 stitches, about 7.4 x 10 inches on 14-count. The year line says 'Christmas 2026'. Change the digits for your own year using the numbers in the chart, or stitch your family's initials there instead.

This is one to frame and bring out every December for years. It's a true keepsake.

How do I get my pattern?

Right after checkout you land on your order page with download links for every file, plus a "download all" zip. Links work for 7 days, and you can reopen your order page anytime to get fresh links.

Is this a physical kit?

No. This is a digital PDF download. No fabric, thread or hoop is included and nothing is shipped. The floss key lists every DMC color you need.

How do I print it?

Print at 100% scale (or "actual size") on US Letter or A4 paper. The black & white chart saves ink and is easy to read. You can also stitch straight from a tablet.

Does it work with Pattern Keeper?

Yes. A Pattern Keeper friendly PDF is included, so you can import it and mark stitches off as you go. Backstitch (if any) is listed separately, because Pattern Keeper only tracks full crosses.

What is the free bonus pack?
