About this pattern
These cottagecore Christmas cross stitch patterns started with one little frog in a Santa hat, and he would not stop bringing friends. Now there are nine woodland minis, all stitched from one shared palette, so a single set of floss covers the whole collection.
What's inside:
- Frog in a Santa Hat
- Frog with a Wreath
- Toadstool House in Snow
- Mushroom Ornament
- Snail with a Gift
- Frog on a Mushroom with a Lantern
- Acorn Bauble
- "Merry & Bright" Mushroom Ring
- Carolling Frogs
Every mini has its own page in the color, black and white and large print charts and in the Pattern Keeper file, plus an overview layout if you'd like to stitch all nine as one sampler. You also get two extra colorways (Vintage Cottage and Frosted Blue), a floss key with skein counts, a real-size page, ornament circle templates, printable gift tags and a tick-it-off checklist. Every preview is rendered from the actual chart, so what you see is what you stitch.
Each mini is 28 to 38 stitches wide and 35 to 40 tall: about 2.7 x 2.9 inches at most on 14 count, 2.4 x 2.5 on 16 and 2.1 x 2.2 on 18, so it fits a 4 inch hoop or a felt ornament. They're full stitches only, with very few single stitches.
I love these as tree ornaments, gift tags tied onto presents, a jar-lid topper or a tiny framed piece for the friend who loves frogs more than tinsel. They stay cute well after Christmas, too.
I suggest Antique White 14 count Aida, so the snow and mushroom spots stay bright.
Plus our free beginner cheat sheet and bonus minis with every order.
