About this pattern
These funny Christmas cross stitch patterns are for every mom who has whispered "silent night?" at 11 pm while someone asks for a third glass of water. Nine gently snarky minis, warm rather than mean, each framed in a little folk border with one tiny motif.
The nine sayings:
- Silent Night? In This House?
- Merry and Tired
- Dear Santa, Define Good
- Holly Jolly-ish
- I Paused My Nap for This
- Ho Ho Hold On
- Running on Cocoa
- Fa La La La Nope
- Naughty List Survivor
Every letter is charted in clean full stitches, so the words read clearly, and all nine share just 10 colors. Each mini is 46 x 48 stitches: about 3.3 x 3.4 inches on 14 count, 2.9 x 3 on 16 and 2.6 x 2.7 on 18, so it fits a 6 inch hoop on 14 count (a 5 inch hoop on 16 or 18 count) or a small square frame.
You get color, black and white, large print and Pattern Keeper charts with each mini on its own page, an overview layout to stitch all nine as one sampler, a floss key with skein counts, printable gift tags, a checklist and three colorways (Classic Christmas, Vintage Muted and Candy Cane Brights). Every preview is rendered from the actual chart, so what you see is what you stitch.
They make sweet little gifts for a fellow tired parent, a teacher, your sister or the friend who always brings the good cocoa. Stitch one into a card, frame a pair for the kitchen, or hang a cheeky ornament on your own tree.
I suggest Antique White 14 count Aida.
