About this pattern
A beaming yellow sun with a big smile, little orange cheeks and chunky orange rays all around. Little ones love stitching the rays one by one, going round like the hands of a clock.
The sun is 26 x 26 stitches: about 2.4 inches across on 11-count Aida, or about 4.3 inches on 6-count Binca or plastic canvas. Three colors, big shapes and a face that's easy to place, so it's a happy first or second project.
Inside is my one-page parent guide, "Stitching with your little one", with practical tips for Binca, 11-count and plastic canvas, blunt needles, short threads and keeping each session short and fun.
It's a perfect summer holiday project, and the finished sun brightens a bedroom door, a lunch bag or a card for someone who needs cheering up.
