About this pattern
These mini masterpieces cross stitch patterns shrink twenty-four of the world's most loved paintings into tiny pieces you can finish in an evening or two. I charted my own simplified version of each one, keeping the shapes you'd recognize from across a room: the curl of the Great Wave, the swirling stars, that famous smile.
The paintings
- Hokusai: The Great Wave and Red Fuji
- Van Gogh: The Starry Night, Sunflowers, Almond Blossom, Cafe Terrace at Night and Irises
- Leonardo da Vinci: Mona Lisa
- Vermeer: Girl with a Pearl Earring and The Milkmaid
- Klimt: The Kiss
- Munch: The Scream
- Botticelli: The Birth of Venus
- Monet: Impression, Sunrise, The Japanese Footbridge and Woman with a Parasol
- Also Seurat, Grant Wood, William Morris, Friedrich, Hiroshige, Leighton, Mucha and Mondrian
All are public domain, and each chart credits its artist.
What's inside
- Each mini charted on its own page in color, black and white and large print
- Pattern Keeper PDF and OXS files for every mini
- A floss key for each mini plus the full DMC list with skeins
- Real-size preview, progress tracker and a tick-it-off checklist
Sizes: most minis are 52 x 40 or 40 x 52 stitches (Mondrian is 40 x 40): about 3.7 x 2.9 in on 14 count or 2.9 x 2.2 in on 18 count. Full stitches only, up to 17 colors per mini. Every preview is rendered from the actual chart, so what you see is what you stitch.
Build a tiny gallery wall, frame a favorite for a desk, or stitch one for the art lover or teacher in your life. I suggest white 16 or 18 count Aida.
