About this pattern
My 12 Days of Christmas cross stitch patterns are a little folk storybook you can stitch: one mini for every day of the carol, from a partridge in a pear tree to twelve drummers drumming.
Each day has its own number and a tiny stitched label, and all twelve share one palette of 17 DMC colors, so you buy your threads once and stitch the whole carol.
What's inside:
- 12 mini patterns, each on its own page in color, black and white and large print
- A 4 x 3 sampler layout with a hearts border and the title "The Twelve Days of Christmas"
- Pattern Keeper charts and OXS files
- 3 colorways: Folk Storybook, Vintage Heirloom and Blue Willow
- Printable gift tags, a stitching checklist and a "ways to use your minis" page
- Ornament circle templates, a real-size preview page and a stitch-time estimate
Each day is 36 x 40 stitches, about 2.6 x 2.9 inches on 14 count, and fits a 4 inch hoop or ornament on 14, 16 or 18 count. The full sampler is about 13 inches square on 14 count.
Hang them on the tree as ornaments, one a night from Christmas Day to Twelfth Night. Turn Two Turtle Doves into a card for a couple, or tie Five Gold Rings onto a jewelry box as a gift tag. Or stitch all twelve as a sampler that comes out every December.
They're full stitches only, with very few single stitches, so they make a cozy first Christmas project. My kids' favorite is the two little dancing ladies.
I suggest Antique White 14 count Aida so the white doves and swans show up.
Plus our free beginner cheat sheet and bonus minis with every order.
