About this pattern
These mini masterpieces cross stitch patterns turn twelve famous winter paintings into tiny pieces you can finish in a few evenings. I charted my own simplified versions of the snowy scenes I'd hang in my hallway if I could.
The twelve paintings
- Pieter Bruegel the Elder, Hunters in the Snow
- Claude Monet, The Magpie and Haystack, Morning Snow Effect
- Utagawa Hiroshige, Night Snow at Kambara, Kinryuzan Temple and the eagle over Fukagawa
- Katsushika Hokusai, Morning after the Snow at Koishikawa
- Caspar David Friedrich, Winter Landscape with Church
- Alfred Sisley, Snow at Louveciennes
- Vincent van Gogh, Landscape with Snow
- Carl Larsson, Christmas Eve (a detail)
- Currier & Ives, American Homestead Winter
All are public domain, and each chart credits its artist.
What's inside
- Each mini charted on its own page in color, black and white and large print
- Pattern Keeper PDF and OXS files for every mini
- A floss key for each mini plus the full DMC list with skeins
- Real-size preview page, progress tracker and a tick-it-off checklist
- Printable gift tags and a "ways to use your minis" page
Sizes: each mini is 52 x 40 stitches (four are portrait, 40 x 52): about 3.7 x 2.9 in on 14 count, 3.3 x 2.5 in on 16 count or 2.9 x 2.2 in on 18 count. Full stitches only, 13 to 17 colors per mini. Every preview is rendered from the actual chart, so what you see is what you stitch.
Stitch a little gallery wall, frame one for the mantel, or tuck one into a card for an art lover. They'll keep you company right through January. I suggest white 16 or 18 count Aida so they stay tiny.
