About this pattern
A walk in the woods to keep in your book: a red spotted toadstool, a chunky brown mushroom and a tiny one beside them, a little snail on top of the cap, and ferns unfurling up towards falling leaves.
The pattern is 28 x 104 stitches in 10 DMC colors, about 2 x 7.4 inches on 14 count, with a sage border. It has a few more details than my other bookmarks (the snail, the fern fronds and the mushroom spots), so I've marked it intermediate, but it's all full cross stitch.
Oatmeal Aida gives it a lovely woodland feel. It's a sweet gift for a mushroom lover or anyone who adores cottagecore.
Finishing tip: leave at least an inch of fabric beyond the border on every side. Back it with felt or a strip of cotton, trim close to the border (or fold the edges under and slip-stitch), then add a tassel or a ribbon through the plain space at the top. The patterns come with a color chart, a black and white chart, a large-print chart and a Pattern Keeper compatible PDF, plus a DMC floss key.
