About this pattern
A ginger cat fast asleep on top of a pile of well-loved books, with a trail of little z's floating up towards a crescent moon and a few stars. It's exactly how most of my reading evenings end.
The pattern is 28 x 104 stitches in 9 DMC colors, about 2 x 7.4 inches on 14 count, with a sage border. The books are simple stripes of color, the cat has a sweet closed-eye face, and everything is full cross stitch.
It looks lovely on white or antique white Aida. A perfect little gift for the cat-loving bookworm in your life, or for yourself.
Finishing tip: leave at least an inch of fabric beyond the border on every side. Back it with felt or a strip of cotton, trim close to the border (or fold the edges under and slip-stitch), then add a tassel or a ribbon through the plain space at the top.
