About this pattern
These Christmas animal cross stitch patterns are twenty cute, round-faced friends, every one in a Santa hat. I designed them on chilly evenings while my kids voted on which animal got a hat next. They all share one 18-color palette, so a handful of skeins goes a very long way.
What's inside
- 20 mini patterns: dachshund, golden retriever, corgi, frenchie, pug, westie, black lab, floppy-eared pup, black cat, ginger tabby, grey kitten, highland cow, a goose with a big red bow, fox, bear, bunny, hedgehog, penguin, sheep and reindeer
- Every mini on its own page in color, black & white and large print, plus Pattern Keeper and OXS files
- 3 colorways: Classic Red, Frosty Blue and Vintage Rose
- Ornament circle templates, a real-size page, stitch-time estimates and a progress tracker
- A tick-it-off checklist, printable gift tags and a ways-to-use page
Sizes Each animal is 33 x 34 stitches: about 2.4 in on 14 count, 2.1 in on 16 and 1.9 in on 18, so it fits a 4 inch hoop (3 inch on 18 count). Full stitches only, no backstitch, and very few single stitches (mostly the sparkle in their eyes).
How to use them Back them with felt for tree ornaments, tie them onto presents as gift tags, pop one into an aperture card, or stitch your own pet's look-alike onto a stocking.
Who it's for Dog people, cat people, highland cow fans and anyone who loves a quick evening stitch. Each mini takes 1.5 to 2 hours, so they're a happy first project for beginners and a sweet last-minute gift for the dog lover in your life.
I'd stitch them on white or antique white 14 count Aida.
