About this pattern
These seasonal goose cross stitch patterns follow one silly white goose through the whole year. She gets a new outfit for every season, nine looks in all, from a spring flower crown to a birthday hat. All nine minis share one palette, so a small stash of floss covers the whole set.
What's inside
- 9 goose minis: Spring Flower Crown, Rainy Day Boots, Summer Straw Hat, Autumn Scarf, Pumpkin Patch, Christmas Bow, Winter Knit Hat, Valentine Heart and Birthday Hat
- Every goose on its own page in color, black & white and large print, plus Pattern Keeper and OXS files
- A layout chart of all nine, ornament circle templates, a real-size page, stitch-time estimates and a progress tracker
- A tick-it-off checklist
Sizes Each goose is 36 x 38 stitches: about 2.6 x 2.7 in on 14 count, 2.2 x 2.4 in on 16 and 2 x 2.1 in on 18, so it fits a 4 inch hoop. Full stitches only, no backstitch, and very few single stitches. Each goose takes about 2.5 to 3 hours at about 200 stitches an hour; your pace may vary.
Ways to use them Stitch the goose for the month and swap the hoop on your wall, back them with felt as little ornaments, tuck one into a birthday card, or frame all nine together as a year-round sampler.
Who it's for Silly goose fans, farmhouse decorators and beginners who want a small, satisfying stitch. The Birthday Hat goose makes a sweet handmade card for a friend who loves a good honk.
I'd stitch them on white 14 count Aida.
