About this pattern
Before the kids wake up, I make a pot of tea and a slice of toast and sit down for ten quiet minutes. This little still life is that moment: a red polka-dot teapot, a jar of strawberry jam with a heart on the label, and two slices of golden buttered toast on a blue gingham tablecloth.
It's made of simple shapes and big blocks of color, so it's a relaxing beginner pattern that still looks lovely on a kitchen wall. The design is 70 x 60 stitches, about 5 x 4.3 inches on 14-count Aida, in 12 DMC colors, with full cross stitches only.
Stitch it for your own kitchen, or give it to the friend who always has the kettle on. I suggest antique white Aida, and it looks charming in a round hoop or a little painted frame.
You get a full color chart, a black and white symbol chart, a large print version, a Pattern Keeper compatible PDF and a floss key with DMC numbers and skein estimates.
